As I write this, S&P Futures are up 2.81%. I think today’s gap is a good opportunity to review where an edge can be found during these types of moves.
The best resource I know is Rob Hanna’s blog. I’m including the link to all of his gap studies. I recommend scrolling through and reading them, as I believe they really help one determine where the edge is during a move like we will see this morning.
Thanks for that. Fading this gap for a quick scalp.
No problem. Good stuff in those studies…
That was the 2nd Test of 7500 on the Dow Jones…
Wow, very little fight at 7500. Lets watch it test it from the underside.
Thanks, and testing out my disqus profile 🙂
kewl.
I don't like that disqus doesn't do emoticons. HOWARD…YOU LISTENING?
There are all sorts of scary thing to observe right now, but anyone pick up how the VIX was down and is down for the day even with the big reversal to negative numbers? Are people that complacent right now? Is this options-related? I just expected a spike when we reversed, or at a move higher? That can't be a good sign here, can it?
Good question. I don't follow it enough to know. Might be expiry causing the anomaly.
Failed breakdown on the Dow Jones? Looks like it. That's bullish.
HUH !!!! Is Disqus a Howard Lindzon investment !!!!! Well color me shocked.
My god, Howie has his fingers in everyone's pie. I almost can not do anything without dealing with one of his companies.
Dow Jones just cleared an intraday inverse head and shoulders pattern. Bullish.

this comment is about the VIX
I'm looking for a solid rally next week. Watch the vix for some confirmation.
That would be nice M!
Wood,
As you are well aware, I am not one to complain about how this joint is run. In fact, my appreciation for the bloggery committed by “the tabbed folk” here is immense.
That said, I find the new “Fractal Format” of your comments section “frustrating.”
As you were.
Anton, duly noted.
I didn't like it at first. Now it is starting to make sense.
New comments and/or comments about the post itself are not indented.
Replies to a comment itself is indented.
Heh, “progress.”
I blame it all on this internets fad.
{Mutters to mule.}
I have a great short sell signal on MSFT, right around $20.
That might be a signal for when the QQQQ might pull back
One of my Oscillators $Naud, says there won't be too much “time” higher for this market, before it has to pullback a little. 2,3 days MAX
Too bad $NAUD won't measure “how much UP there is left out there, before the pullback”
wood, if you want to change comments order to newest first–
Disqus (your) Home >ADMIN >Settings>Default sort by, change the comments into >>newest first
Z, thanks for the instructions, but I'm not admin for disqus, even though it is my blog. Jeremy would have to do that.
