While the number of breakouts from quality bases has slowed considerably, there are still some phenomenal charts out there.
I think this is a beautiful Cup-with-Handle breakout. And, being from the oil and gas industry, I think this one may have long-term potential.
[[CRR]] CARBO Ceramics, Inc. engages in the manufacture and supply of ceramic proppants used in hydraulic fracturing of natural gas and oil wells. [[NVEC]] NVE Corporation engages in the development and sale of devices using spintronics, a nanotechnology, which utilizes electron spin rather than electron charge to acquire, store, and transmit information.I don’t know what the heck spintronics is, or why it could be profitable for information storage and transmission, but I checked the fundamentals on this one and they appear to be very healthy.
[[NR]] Newpark Resources, Inc. provides integrated fluids management and well site preparation products and services to the oil and gas exploration and production industry in the United States, Canada, Mediterranean region, Mexico, and Brazil.
I was looking at NVEC this weekend, couldn’t decide whether to buy or not. It looked good, I haven’t done enough research on the products yet.
Their growth rate looks great. Of course, i just glanced at things on Yahoo finance.
What makes their product great?
Loved the strong trend in NVEC, and the P+F target is giving it a 40% move. Was an IBD 200 stock last Thursday and looks good. Only 178M cap. Didn’t manage to grab any since I was in option trading mode. Upon closer inspection, they work on Nanotech, and based on what they’re working on, it’s got humongous potential for the ever expanding technological world. Sounds like it will make computer chips way faster and way smaller.
Here’s some brief info.
Company Background
NVE Corporation (NVE) develops and sells devices that use spintronics, a nanotechnology that relies on electron spin rather than electron charge to acquire, store and transmit information. The Company is a licensor of spintronic magnetoresistive random access memory technology (MRAM), which has the potential to revolutionize electronic memory. NVE also manufactures spintronic products including sensors and couplers that are used to acquire and transmit data. The Company designs use one of two nano-scale spintronic structures: giant magnetoresistors or spin-dependent tunnel junctions. Both structures produce a large change in electrical resistance depending on the electron spin orientation in a free layer. In giant magnetoresistance (GMR) devices, resistance changes due to conduction electrons scattering at interfaces within the devices. NVE operates through a single segment and has three product lines to offer: sensor products, coupler products and MRAM products.
Hi hattery! Tomorrow I’ll try to track down the articles I was reading this weekend on NVEC and post the links here, something about the sensors and couplers.
Shed, check your email please.
