The what’s of rape?
(Isn’t that a Smokey Robinson song? The Teirs of a Clown Rape?)
___________
Smokey’s more of the “Quiet Storm” type of rapist.
“Shhhhh.”
Okay, let me be less clever… you’ve misspelled “tier” above.
____________
check
Fantastic job Danny!
thanks SPC
Just reading through… caught a typo — it’s panglossian, not “planglossian” unless you were punning or something.
corrected, thanks. In a doc that big, I’m sure they’re others.
Might want to double-check the example provided for “indeud.” I believe you forgot to change the c&p from “BTFO.”
thats a weird one. corrected.
I’m up to “get in the funnel/vice” and I think we need a ruling.
Way I always read those was as far less altruistic than you’ve defined them…. IOW, when Fly said “get in the funnel” — he was talking to longs, and when he said “get in the vice” he was talking to shorts.
Like — “get in the funnel, you’re going down,” and
“get in the vice, you’re about to be squeezed.”
Maybe I’m misinterpreting…
_________________
My explanation for that specifically is that “Get in the Funnel” was a word for last year’s dictionary, in a year that was characterized by down moves. Therefore, even if Fly used the words in the way you describe he’d be doing so incorrectly, since it was already defined. That’s why get in the vice must be for up moves.
Also, it’s part of the challenge inherent in the task of dictionary creation. Some definitions are sort of vague but I have to pin some type of specificity or sentiment to their utterance. In general, whatever I write in there stands unless there is some major disagreement among the cognoscenti such as yourself and an alternate definition is submitted that I deem superior.
Well, my only problem with it — as I read it anyway — is that you’ve got the definitions reversed, or at least the intent.
In other words, Fly would say “get in the funnel!” When he was short (like last year, so that fits w. your timeline) and “get in the vice!” when he was long (like right now, which also fits).
__________
I still think that’s what I said. Unless I’m really having a problem with reading and writing comprehension.
“Get In The Funnel: A call to arms, commanding the listener to earn billions via shorting stocks. Telling someone to “Get in the Funnel” is a nice way of saying that the market is about to shit the water closet, and, well, to get in the fucking funnel.
Get In The Vice: A call to arms, commanding the listener to earn billions via going long stocks. Telling someone to “Get in the Vice” is a nice way of saying that the market is about to ape rape the shorts, and, well, to get in the fucking vice.”
I say “Get in the funnel, a call to short stocks.” You say, “In other words, Fly would say “get in the funnel!” When he was short.”
Aren’t we saying the same things?
But the difference was this — and only Fly can clarify if he can get off Twitter for a second — in your example, he’s telling people to “get short” as in “Let me help you, please get short via getting in the funnel.”
My take is this, viz the above: He’s talking to longs who fucked up. He’s saying, “you went wrong going long, so time to get in the funnel and be flushed.”
Vice versa with shorts who are about to get squeezed, via the vice.
See where’m comin’ from?
______________
Also, feel free to tell me what your favorite definitions are, I’m curious, since I know what mine are.
bitch we got a printing press! Exactly. So shut the fuck up.
Big fan (“dollar drama”).
Definition for “Treu” a close second.
Asshat, Bullshitter/Bearshitter, Dollar Drama, Treu, FTK, homosexual opera, Much to your chagrin, Tiers of Rape…are my faves off the top of my head
Typo under “horse nuked” –
“and matters of gave (sic) danger” Grave, I guess.
___________
“What the horse?” makes me chuckle to this day, btw.
__
the typos are part of its charm…reflective of a more blase tude toward language
Biscuit with a plate of yams and extra syrup lazy.
ROFLMAO.
” a plate of yams.”
I’m dyin’ ovah heah.
______
thanks.
Personally, I enjoyed writing the redacted FTK definition. Sahib wasn’t having any of that leaking out.
I was going to suggest you use (redacted) all over, but then I saw you used it at the end, so, it works.
____________
I was also making a joke of the chronology of the explanation with the part I left unredacted.
Southern lazy implies, yes, extreme lazy, but with style and panache. Unlike Northern lazy, which just involves collecting unemployment and food stamps.
Southern lazy means you sit on your front porch and shoot squirrels, when they get close enough. Northern lazy means you shoot your neighbor, steal his wallet, rather than going to work for a living.
Excellent work though Danny. Excellent! LMAO on many of the entries.

_________
What about sand rape?
For the record
get in the funnel is me taunting longs to go long so that I can crush them via short sales. Get in the vice is a deceptive suggestion, like the aliens from mars attacks, to get short so that I can squeeze them via large long bets.
That’s what I thought.
_______
Excellent; again… I would only add that (being) “clown raped” also includes HFTs and quants selling at market at some random point between R1 and R2. Maybe “carni-raped” or “geek-raped” for next year’s edition.
I believe the correct phrase is SPEED chopping carrots. I think the word “speed” is essential for proper imagery.
^^ Agreud. ^^
Best imagery: Speed-chopping as done by Vince, the Sham-wow guy, a la “the Slap Chop” commercial.
__________
Funny stuff
Great work noble sir!
Lollipop is the candy I think you’re looking to mention in the definition of FTK (my favourite so far from the new version).
