Short? That’s So 2008

I have been laying very low lately, only testing out shorts in small blocks, and covering very quickly. I’ve been wrong these past weeks and I know it, so while I still think shorts are the best option (primary trend is down), I know better than to press the issue when I’m losing money.
I got 25% short Friday around 870-875 with -spy, -rut, spy puts and twm. Since the diETFs can be heinous bitches and since I hate theta decay, most of my short exposure is in -spy.
Forgive my lack of charts and semi-profane nature but ALL of the motherhorsin charts confirm it. I will short again higher if necessary.
Actually, my Agosto indicator triggered a buy at Friday’s close.
This meant a purchase of DOG at the close. Since I did end up with my wife’s cold, and was absorbed in losing to Jake – I didn’t notice it until tonight.
I think I hear DD heading our way…
the futures are down, so maybe the lord will throw me a bone on this one.
If we rise on Monday it would actually be a good thing for me, come to think of it.
Don’t feel bad; I shorted from 760 to 800. I got raped, hence my egregious losses I put up during the month of March and some of April. I bought into a VERY tiny FAZ position @ 9.31 and am feeling no remorse.
I think @Apple_Investor said it the best tonight on StockTwits: “There needs to be a multi-day pullback in order to keep this uptrending momentum afloat.”
Like Cuervos, my trading system (the RSI-%K) is soon to show a pullback in the short-term, and I’m anxious to see how this next pullback holds up on the long-term. I’m still convinced we won’t see shit until earnings season is over.
