If you ever get the chance to watch a World Cup game in the capital of one of the teams playing, just do it. Myself and a small crew rolled down into the center square of Zagreb to watch the match and they blew out their opponent 4-0… To say the place was electric would be an understatement.
I was in Europe during the last World Cup; was in Madrid when Spain lost and Berlin when Germany got eliminated; cool experiences but nothing like being there for an important blowout. I’d go on but I’m off to do some hiking and rock climbing. Oh yeah, left Zagreb yesterday and now I’m in some hotel on the Adriatic Sea about 20 minutes outside of Zadar.
