Some Serious Shit Going On.

Gold/Silver:

The title is the understatement of the year, so far. The media has no clue what is happening. This is far more than some simple Central Bank manipulation. BTW–the G20 meets this week.

Are you worried about housing, jobs, earnings. PHHHT.

Lay people are clueless to events or to their meaning. In fact, most financial professionals are mostly sitting on their asses, watching is semi-disbelief, but they’ll believe when the market indices fall 10% in a few days.

Japan’s massive QE is sending shockwaves throughout the financial AND real world. China wants DPRK to blast Japan into the ocean, but Japan may be doing that to itself.

A trade war is deflationary. A stalled world economy is deflationary. Print all the money in the world and asset prices may skyrocket, but there will be far fewer buyers for anything ‘real’.

The American public won’t realize what’s going on until it is too late. It will be covered as “just a correction”. Or maybe we are truly isolated and I’m just overdramatic…

    Scott,

Please explain how currency wars are deflationary. If all currencies are cheaper then doesn’t stuff have to become more valuable. And won’t liquidity eventually find its way into commodities?

Nice time to renew the “race to the bottom” topic. If stuff is valued in USD, and it’s on sale, then stuff becomes cheaper in other currencies… if other currencies fall of the cliff, then…

Currency wars are alive and well and the fog of war is everywhere… commodities have fallen into a bottomless pit. Blood is definitely flowing in the gutter.

i too have thought the clam,(with as much as he is giving our cash to the world),can /could isolate or contain a serious back lash from all this. hence the total killing of the precious sector.london and u.s markets are working in tandem to set the price as low as they can. all the brics, and the pigs are going to jump ship from the us dollar. beware of the signal.folks, you will not get a warning from uncle sugar that the dollar is in danger, serious danger at that.if london, and the clam can “build” a perception that makes the market think that the all mighty buck is back because precious is dropping like a rock, should be even more dangerous. too many signs, paris france will now be accepting chinese yuan as sovereign swaps. and me,i’m actually loving the hell out of this bang down of the precious.my order of eagles will be picked up at the end of the week, please, keep knocking it down.

I fueled the boat. Taken on scores of food and hired a bucksum bar tender.
