Next Piece should be on how anti “alternative energy” .Bummer is. Look at any alternative form of energy and it’s price last 4 years. Coal? Solar? Nat Gas? LOL! oh yeah he’s “green” in terms of political experience, but in terms of energy, he’s about as green as red.
I don’t really think it will take a whole lot for
1)Voter turnout to be significantly less than last election, particularly among young, former and current obama supporters that are currently over 50%unemployed, (or even those that have spent a significant amount of time unemployed or with most of their friends unemployed)
2)allegations, rumors of allegations, and actual scandals being uncovered in in the process of being investigated which could severely derail either candidate significantly impacting new poll numbers and of course the results.
3)Higher voter turnout among republicans…

Plus, the poll numbers aren’t really that far apart.
Did o-zero beat McCain in a landslide? O-zero was much more popular back then so anyone calling an o-zero win is delusional.
Polls are useless. Stick to monitoring political betting. people put their money where their vote is.
And the debates will of course make a significant impact.

The thing about polls, is they can only say with a certain degree of confidence (dependent on sample size, margin of error, etc) if election were held and if the response was representative of the sample, and the sample is representative of the whole, who would win if the election was held the duration of when the poll was carried out… assuming poll takers are being honest and there aren’t biases which can drastically impact results of the sample.
And, it is not the popular vote that matters, but the number of electoral delegates assigned.
Nevertheless, the poll numbers don’t even show Obama beyond the 3% margin of error. Statistically you can’t even be 95% confident that IF all of the above were correct that Obama would win if election was held right now (before all the debates).
So any talk of “who will win” particularly before the last few debates is very premature

It’s so close to a tie the debates will be crucial. If Romney looks like an okay choice after the debates he will have a decent chance. There’s no tellin’ what 0bama will do if re-elected. He told the Russians he would have more lattitude after the election… so watch out!
Thats a fantastic point. Would love to see Romney blindside Obama at the last debate and ask him what he meant by that.
Even if Romney destroys him in the debate, the media will declare obama the winner of the debate. And they will put up “instant polls” that supposedly show the viewer sentiment was that obama won. But they still can’t fool everyone.
