One of my favorite restaurants is having another prix fixe wine maker dinner. I dunno if i’m going to be able to go but they constantly crush it. A little deliciousness to take away from the bloodbath in the markets. By the way, are we looking at an epic buying opportunity in AAPL and GOOG? I think so.
JOSEPH PHELPS WINEMAKER DINNER
Monday, December 10, 2012 at 6:30 p.m. In the late 60s, Joseph Phelps was running one of the largest construction companies in the United States. It was at this time that he won the bid to build Souverain winery (now Rutherford Hill) located a few miles outside of St. Helena. Enamored with the beauty of Napa Valley and contemplating a career change, in 1973 he purchased 600 acres in Spring Valley, and began planting his vineyards. In 1974, the winery was completed, the first grapes were crushed, and the first vintage of Insignia was produced. Nearly four decades later, Insignia is recognized as one of the world’s greatest wines. Today, the winery is run by Joe’s son, Bill Phelps, whose core focus is keeping the winery family owned and operated while continuing to produce wines of exceptional quality. His son, Will Phelps, and niece, Elizabeth Anderson, recently joined the team, representing the third generation of the Phelps family. Join us for an exclusive presentation of their wines, including the release of the 2009 Insignia, paired with a menu crafted by Chef John Cahill.
