Quick Note: DOW Can’t break 11,700

A few seconds ago Fly mentioned he might be taking profits in his bank longs, I’ve decided to cash out of [[UYG]] .

Until the DOW trades and stays above 11,700, I’m cautious.

Side Note: ev3 Inc. [[EVVV]] still looking good.

Just a second ago I watched [[USO]] tick negative, WTF? However take a look at gas, steadily rising. Last night Chivas made an excellent point saying he’s looking at the refiners, I agree 100% and have been building a position in Valero Energy Corporation [[VLO]] over the last few weeks.

This morning I just made it my largest holding. I remember when Katrina hit I watched VLO & NOV move about 4 points a day– for a week.

Look no further than National-Oilwell Varco, Inc. [[NOV]] & Valero Energy Corporation [[VLO]] for your hurricane plays.

Note: VLO took control of the 50 MA this morning.
