Oh yeah, and there was also a Semi-truck event tonight. The Roadster was definitely a pleasant surprise, as was the news of 500 miles on a single charge for the Truck. Expect short sellers to get lit ablaze tomorrow.

LOL. In 2020. Might as well say ‘in universe far far away’. This car is nothing but Potemkin village. Bloody Tesla cannot get their deadlines straight today, let alone in 2020. Oh, an why would anybody want to go from 0-60 in 1.9 seconds and go 100mph in 4.2 seconds? And how many times per day? Why? Why? I just cannot come up with ONE practical reason. Also, where, when, what type of roads and how many times one gets to go 250MPH?? Stupid cops throw you in jail for going 40mph over the limit and best public roads are not designed to be safe over 120mph with medium type of traffic on them.
Now, about that 600 miles on a single charge. I presume that is 600 miles on the very first time charge and prolly no more than 200 miles on the 50th charge. Also, what type of driving gets you 600 miles per charge? Oh, I know, I know … going 0-60 in 1.9 seconds 50x per day and getting to 100mph in 4.2 seconds and driving 250mph any chance one gets, right? And how long does it get to charge up the battery? About as long as it takes me to gas up my car anywhere and anytime? Oh, that’s goooood!

There is no progress without errors and learning from them. The market will throw endless billions to the likes of an Elon, so he can correct his errors and do something positive for the humankind of Earth. Would you rather those endless billions continue to go into the military-industrial intelligence government complex, whose only aim is to enrich itself financially and control- and power-wise, at the expense and blood of all human beings of any and all colors and backgrounds.

Tesla was able to reprogram the entire Model 3 code debacle from a contractor in 2-3 weeks. In the process they are becoming experts in automation and if they can continue to finance losses for a couple more years, they should catapult into the stratosphere in the 2020-2030 sans a great depression.
I concur. Electric vehicles are impractical for anything but novelty. The batteries just do not last. Unless there’s some revolutionary way to produce electricity, EV’s are just toys for grown ups.
500 miles? Maybe on paper that’s the theoretical amount, in reality it will be half that. And you can forget about owning one if you park on the street.
