$NTDOY Nintendo is building some momentum here, and has another huge hit on their hands with the Switch. Check out the introduction video released today:

My cajun brother, the tech guy in the family, who is also known to make a good stock pick or two, says $NTDOY is about to go “nuclear”. He has been building a position over the last few months.
Here’s a 10 year look at the price action in the stock:

Nintendo is always way ahead of Sony and Microsoft when it comes to creativity. They definitely don’t get enough respect because they don’t do traditional FPSs to much or market mainstream sports games heavily.
agreed.
looks pretty awesome
wow. this actually looks decent.
NTDOY has been dead ever since they decided to sell gimmicky low-tec hardware to 12 year olds.
presuming this thing has 4k graphics processing & next gen developer agreements to make AAA games (which they haven’t done since 2006ish) MAYBE it will not suck.
but they can’t compete if they keep remaking fucking Mario kart and Zelda every year. people need a reason to play The Witcher 3, Halo, or Call of Duty on Nintendo’s system instead of a PS4 or X1
They just need to get high tech enough to support ports of popular games. Wii U’s Nintendo line-up was legit but it had too many niche games.
MSFT sold 110m Units Minecraft
Halo sales > $5,000,000,000
Follow the money…
Nintendo snuck in a corp charter expansion during the pokemon craze. can’t wait to see what a Nintendo medical device looks like.

Hope you are right! Tokyo was not enthralled today and took the parent listing down almost 7%. Not enough detail in the teaser apparently.
Would love to get some sub $30
I’m bullish, but not over this thing. I think a portable/console hybrid is a brilliant idea, but I also think the compromises they will make to hit an attractive price point in a market already heavily Sony/MS dominated are going to be rough. Will the hybrid design make the general public stand up and notice like they did with the Wii? I am doubtful. The people who want to play Nintendo games will buy it, along with a couple of bored jet-setters, and that will likely be that.
Missing the crucial holiday season is also un-ideal, that’s another pile of kids getting Xboxes and PS4’s for Christmas…parents often draw a firm line at one console per generation, maybe two if the kid is a spoiled brat.
Super Mario Run, on the other hand, is the next chapter of financial success for Nintendo. Software is where the real money is, this is why Sony and MS are willing to sell consoles at or under their profit margins. If Nintendo can continue to leverage their marquee titles in the mobile space without significantly affecting their console/portable business, that’s the real ticket to cash-ville.
