Reddit is the self-proclaimed front page of the internet and also a place where people sometimes look for answers to tricky problems.
Like iBankCoin or Twitter, users can choose their handle, which is the name they go by on the website. This process of choosing a username helps some people tell the internet how they really feel without jeopardizing their real name. But most people are sloppy about it.
I am sloppy about choosing usernames because I am not the IT boy for Hillary Clinton. If I were, thank goodness I am not, protecting my anonymity would be paramount when talking online.
The internet is a permanent archive
Even when websites are deleted, a cached version often lingers on Google. Creepy, right?
Anyhow, Paul Combetta may have sought advice from Reddit on how to back fill a bunch of Hillary Clinton’s old emails with someone else’s name.
On the Friday, September 2nd, late in the afternoon before Labor Day weekend, the FBI released a huge trove of Clinton emails discovered during their investigation of the former Secretary of State’s use of a private email server.

we have this cycle where no matter what happens, people brush it off by referencing an equal and opposite offense by the party they hate…as a means of somehow justifying the illegal act in question. the end result is both parties bounce back and forth getting away with more and more shit.

I will stop posting on your blog, per my soft-stated promise that I would do so if banned. This is the first time, to my knowledge, that you have stated that I was banned, even though I have brought the subject up in prior exchanges on Raul’s uncensored blog. Hmm.

1) illegality requires knowledge that the material or data is evidence sought as part of an investigation
2) the changes the tech sought to make to the emails are far better explained as an effort to maintain privacy rather than an effort to destroy evidence — he’d have done the wipe then if destruction was his aim
after a suppeona you’re not allowed to tamper with the requested documents regardless of the motive.
There were two servers, with two subpoena dates. One of those dates was months after the reddit posts.
Details matter. We can’t tell from the reddit messages which server he was asking about.
The important takeaway is the word ‘they’ that he used when saying:
“Basically, they don’t want the VIP’s email address exposed to anyone…”
It points to the fact someone other than Paul was pushing for the emails to be “bleached”. Someone other than Paul was acting to cleanse the emails. God willing, there is a journalist with the fortitude to seek out the person calling the shots.
Paul is a Patsy, a very dumb Patsy.
Why on God’s green earth would he mention a VIP in his post, and even emphasize the VIP’s stature?

You do realize, I hope, that the FBI interviewed this guy under immunity. He and his company would have, if they are not compete dimwits, what instructions they received from Clinton’s office or attorneys, and when those instructions were issued.
People on the internet are ready to convict when they see a feather, when the law demands a whole bunch of ducks in a row before you can say a crime might have occurred.
