I am going to put a hole through a wall somewhere today because I wanted $100 in $BMRN and missed the open.
Grabbed some very small $VXX calls. I have a weird feeling about this weekend and want to have some Oh Fuck insurance.
Long CLF here, shorted TSLA with May puts after this pop back up (Citi called for Apple to but Tesla)
Did a lot of work on Home Capital the last few days (HCG.TO) and stuck it in a longer term account. My reading of it:
1. Regulators overstepping their bounds.
2. Charges happened at exactly the moment a liquidity crisis could happen. 60 days from now it’d be a non issue.
3. Financing obtained, so it should continue being a going concern, regardless of the terms.
4. Insurers have no problems insuring their mortgages. So, any other Canadian bank should be fine refinancing them or buying them outright.
5. Get to buy it at the 2009 lows due to regulatory fuckery.
Possible downside due to further regulatory fuckery.
