The stock is quietly being held here. Please, bears…double down on your downside bets.
The more action you take now, the more significant the chase from here.
This early move was enough to quiet the crowd, but the stall during the second half of the day was enough to leave bears engaged and not quit positions. Again, very twitter-esque.
The turn is a quiet process, not an event.
Bears get popcorned tomorrow.

Not sure i have ever seen so much negativity towards ones stock… especially a new stock like this $SNAP. Looking on Stocktwits and Twitter feed is unreal. “hope they gap it up so then I can short it down down down… into the ring of fire!!!” lol.
Loaded long with you. I told myself after $TWTR and $TWLO that next time you have that much conviction, I am not selling as early as I did with those ones. LOL
Fun to watch for sure… this process should be quite fascinating at least.
Was there this much negativity surrounding TWTR when it IPO’d? If I recall, it was not as negative as SNAP is at this moment, but I can’t remember for sure.
I feel like people didn’t question TWTR’s long term viability as much as they are here. That stocktwits feed is a firehose of negativity. No idea how this pertains to the trade. These sentiment trades always look like knife catches to me…but I’m working on it.
It was worse, but never seen anything like it.
I remember when OA doubled down on TWLO in the low 40s….got denigrated roundly….until it kept going up and up. I wasn’t here for the epic TWTR call.
ahhh yes. TWLO was an amazing call. I just wish I wasn’t so greedy at the top and sold all at 60 instead of half. now bag holding for me.
I just got a targeted FB add for a free 2-day options workshop…..
Sorry
The guy seemed legit. I left a positive comment
That is an evil prank. Ex-cellent.
Curious: Do you think such a move, if it happens – happens organically? Or will some institution/fund trigger it?
This is simply a bear trap story. It will be an instrument to draw in a crowd, just like twitter was. The market triggers it. It just happens to have more eyeballs on it than all other stocks combined.
With the skew index through the roof, whole market is looking like a bear trap, but with a kind of eerie feel. Maybe just sideways chop.
It prints a new high each year. That only reflects he OMG insurance people are still buying.
The premium difference between calls and puts is huge.
OA, talking about leveraged ETFs. How long are you holding them for? and aren’t you worried about the daily reset and grind on them?
I’ve held LABU since 2015.
interesting. I just find the daily resets are killer. as prices move up and then if you have a down day your down is from a higher price point potentially leaving you under water from the previous day. eventually the grind can also cause reverse splits.
btw you probably know that on the retailer ETF there are options.
cheers
planning my exit on next weeks expiry for SNAP and hopefully be able to roll up some more aprils.
LABU seemed to do well.
OA, you ever trade the open, or you let things settle in for half hour or so?
lo, lof course. Why not?
I just find that the first half hour investors trying to find levels. wrong I guess.
I don’t know WTF that means. I’m an investor finding levels too I guess.
just seems choppy .. lots of people chasing things in the open .. dumping from regret last night .. thats all
Yeah, I call my spots and if they’re there at the open, I take ’em.
do you think it revisits it’s all time high?
Have you heard my comparisons at all?
lol – yeah man – definitely see the $TWTR price action similarity here – thx
I closed out $LVS for about 250%.
Watching $WFC. If it doesn’t hold here I may take gains and keep raising cash.
You’re rolling over to cash now?
When I get on a hot run, my strategy is to sell big gains, and then only re-invest 40-50% of the principal into longer dated positions or quick trades. So my success automatically builds up my cash position. Then I deploy more aggressively into spots where I’m more comfortable and have better conviction. I find that my average hot streak duration would only have 2-4 weeks left and I’m trying to get more proactive defending against draw downs. (On a personal level, I also have less time to mind the markets into the spring & summer months so I try to have less to manage then.)
Appreciate the thoughtful reply. When you’re going to cash, you keep it in cash or you roll it into a yield vehicle? I imagine that waiting for the moments of conviction for full deployment can take 6months to a year at times, depending on how large a pullback you’re waiting for.
thoughts on AAWW? looks like good volume support at current levels
