Junior: Hey Dad, my teacher called me up to the front of our class again. He made everyone look at what my stocks were doing. My team is still in first place.

Dad: Good work Kiddo.

Junior: He said “Wow, this is crazy. It seems every couple days Jaxon has a stock in his account that goes up a ton.” $CMCM and $SHLD were up huge, and he watched $CMCM on the screen for most of the day.

Dad: Has anyone else in your class had big moves in their stocks.

Junior: No. There’s 8 groups in my class. Half of them are losing money.

Dad: What type of stocks do they own?

Junior: That’s what my teacher keeps talking about. All their stocks are companies he knows, he keeps saying that mine are an odd collection.

Dad: “Odd collection?”Ask him if he would prefer you to teach the class how to trade.

Junior: He mentioned a few times that my stocks didn’t follow his rules, but that sometimes stocks can still do good without them. You can tell he is uncomfortable because the stocks doing the best are not doing what his lines say they should do.

Dad: Sounds like everyone on StockTwits.

Junior: What’s that?

Dad: Nevermind. You’ll do much better without it. Kinda like you’re doing without your teachers rule sheet.

Junior: Hey dad, one more thing? When is TWTR going to stop going down? It’s killing me.

Dad: Son, that’s what the rest of us want to know as well. With any luck, you’re the one to make that happen.
