I took a loss on $AMZN this morning and went into $ARCH calls instead, which I’ve been stalking for a few weeks.

How long do you think this correction will last ? I had 2-3 more days on my mind and Im getting long miners all week starting with DGC today.
Watching the 1220 level – I think we breach this to test the trend line down around 1180-ish. I will re-evaluate there. Yellen talks to Congress this week, so keep that in mind.

AUY looks like it’s setting up for a move up
Been going up for 2 months.
I’ve owned it since around 2.8 but to me it looks like it’s consolidating for another move up. Trying to balance that with your call for lower gold.
That’s where overbought and oversold come into play.
X – perhaps the Gartman fade is now so well-known that he will hit a few winners for a while.

Closed my AMZN and IWM puts + TLT calls this morning for moderate losses. Trimmed more gains in M which appears to have been premature.
Added to my ANF and QCOM.
OA. Do you have handy the link to your QQQ chart analysis of a few months ago indicating it could push higher? Just interested in seeing where we are relative to the breakout from the wedge.

Of course – arguably the problem with the above analysis is that volume problems haven’t mattered since the volume capitulation in fall 2008/spring 2009. That said – McClellan is a solid analyst that often times is right.

TSLA is just getting stupid at this price. Interesting to see when it starts throwing off some reversal candles.
So far this week is looking like a version repeat of the action right after Trump’s election where steel and banks went ape to the upside followed by a quick sell down of FANG and other overowned well-known technology names.
And – I might add – related to the probably good GLD put play mentioned – Gold of course also got slaughtered shortly after the election of the loud orange man.
Gold still has good support at 1220 and it was defended well yesterday – unfortunately, sideways is a direction..
How bout that TWTR? That was quicker than I expected, so I am a little sad
