OA BUY: $AAPL

I bought Pre-Christmas calls on the Apple, with a striking price of 112.

More later,

OA

OA – what’s the significance of mid December? Are you expecting a turn then?

I was wondering the same – do you expect things to take off then and hence you do not want to chase?

I meant that I thought you meant that options would be going up too much to make them attractive at that point, rather than things starting to turn south in that time frame.

Watch WETF if it busts thru 12 bucks. Has been on a tear like rest of financials. 25% short float.

Was playing around with finviz to get a quick gauge of breadth.
“Small cap only” has 51.3% stocks up 48.7% stocks down.

Other than that, breadth seems pretty consistent right now at around 45% up, 55% down regardless of whether you analyze stocks up 1% or 4% or only analyze high volume or low volume or large cap+, mid cap+, etc

Interesting divergence today between dow and nasdaq.

Anyone want to compare notes on long term holdings? Here’s what I’ve got:

    $ACC
    $AMBA
    $COP
    $CNCR
    $CREE
    $DB
    $F
    $FCX
    $FSLR
    $PACB
    $RIG
    $SGEN
    $SHAK
    $TNH
    $TSLA
    $TWTR

And I sold $VA when they got bought.

I’ve accumulated these positions over the last 3 years at mostly good prices (excepting $TWTR, 1/2 $TSLA and 2/3 of my $FSLR), and the intention with this account is to buy and hold 5+ years, so I don’t really watch daily price action in the names. Anything I’m missing? I was thinking about dedicating funds to add one new position into year end, in addition to adding to $CNCR, which I am doing here.

This is a contrarian move. The Q’s are getting massacred. FB is getting the hammer to the face. Maybe Zuck should do something original and move to the middle and help create a space that includes everyone.

I wonder if GOOGL, AAPL and FB will visit the white house 300 times this year?

If he said he didn’t like Facebook today, would you sell?

Seems we don’t go a week without you asking if the Sarge likes Facebook.

Thanks OA. I still own, even bought more today. I just like to hear some opinion/idea from people who I respect. So, would you buy FB ?
