Yup – if Monday is indicative of the future – BIDU and TSLA might do well on earnings and then beyond. I know OA you are not a fan of strangles so no need to have the discussion again : ) but playing for a possible huge move on BWLD earnings – I took a 125 put/165 call strangle today. I think the CMG results will keep the premiums up no matter which way CMG swings and would not be surprised to see either a 145 BWLD print before earnings with a huge move up afterward or a massive move lower if BWLD does not deliver. That said – recently did very well with a NFLX strangle a week ago and I only play select strangles on those that look primed for a big move – in this case – BWLD being one of them.

Motherfucker. If $BTUUQ turns out like the old Kmart did, I am going to shoot myself. I had considered getting long back when they first announced Chapter 11. Now it’s been skyrocketing like they aren’t going to wipe out equity holders. Too late to take a risk and get in.
Is there any chance that same scenario will apply to $SUNEQ? I hope so.
The main reason I liked BTU for that possibility was that coal’s value has appreciated considerably as the company has been reorganized. Similar to KM as it went through bankruptcy with its real estate.
VIX getting close to the 12 level again. Looking for it to make it down under 12 before the election.
XIV now fully over the upper bollinger band. I expect it to continue pushing higher leading into the employment number Friday next week. I plan on being fully in cash on Thursday afternoon of next week, and will wait until at least the morning after the election to put money back to work.
FYI. $TWTR moved their earnings release to 10/27 BMO.

Something to think about though – 95 percent or more of traders – many of them being ones on Stocktwits who are usually wrong – are currently “buying the dip” in UA for a short-term, medium-term or long-term hold and it has now done ten times its average daily volume on the sell side in less than three hours of trading. Usually action like this doesn’t signal capitulation but rather a major long-term fundamental change.
I’m perfectly fine with buying lower. I bought 2000 in premarket and would love to buy even lower. This stock is a cult stock for kids and even grownups. Plus they have solid sports gear.
