A couple weeks ago, bulls had hit a low that hadn’t been seen since 2004. This most recent poll has seen a bull/bear spread not seen since 2008.

    Positioned for Armageddan:

    Sell SCO, Buy UWTI at equivalent of 25/bl and now 20/bbl.

    Selling some TLT at 141 and buying some TBT at 32.

    Stocks: buying weekly puts on bounces for quick trades.

    Sweeping the leg of the ebola lows – a clean break and the whole things could come tumbling down.

    Sometimes I wonder if all this bearish sentiment won’t just self fulfill into reality. If no one is buying…

      This was the spot to buy a few weeks back and probably bulls best / only chance a making another run at 1880. It paid off once so perhaps we’ll see another rally

        Vicious cycle. Asian markets reacts to our sell offs and futures react to their sell off. Never ends

      I can see that. Mom, Pop, and Average Joe got burned several years ago and aren’t going to be jumping in without checking how deep the water is first. I think you are seeing this via their chatter about being in or moving to cash. These are the people that you usually wouldn’t expect to be doing this at the correct time. Yesterdays bagholders if you will.

      Without their money to give the hot shot trader/bankers their quick f-you mom & pop returns, I think we are seeing – albeit slowly – these former bagholers give 2008 right back to them in spades. You need them in the market for many reasons including the liquidity they bring.

      …or I could have no idea what I am talking about.

    the good news, if you time it right, is that at some point soon there is going to be the sharpest rally in YEARS. 3-4x bagger call trades overnight.
