What if I told you the Fed would raise by 0.125 tomorrow? I think last week’s leak was a trial balloon. I think they realize they are running out of time and may start the process tomorrow, way ahead of expectation. I think they know that the economic situation is going to be so bad in September globally that any rate hikes for the foreseeable future would be off the table.
And stocks would probably rally off the news as its viewed as a huge positive that the Fed is so confident in this economy that they’re raising earlier than expected when in reality they would just be raising to get out in front of some upcoming economic hardships in Sept/Oct.
So 1/2 a hike in July, full hike in August, stock market correction in Sept/Oct and QE4 early next year.

I didn’t flip flop. My prediction, which was low probability, didn’t pan out. This was their last chance to hike. Data will never be any “better.” Thus, ZIRP forever, QE4 coming.

I keep staring at $HCN, haven’t quite pulled the trigger. Looks to be forming nice inverse head and shoulders on the daily and the weekly looks pretty good too. The fundamentals look good compared to peers. If you are looking for lower risk into the summer doldrums, could be a place to hide but stay a little bit exposed.
I remember these same $TWTR conversations about $FB back in 2013 (when it was trading in the high $20’s and low $30’s). Young people weren’t joining, trendy Europeans thought it was passe, etc. etc. etc. I suspect this too will pass if you’ve got a reasonable time frame. I have a modest long term position from $37, and will look to add once things settle after this earnings report.

I bought back into FCAU heading into earnings tomorrow. I still think this gets to $20 by the Ferrari IPO which has been pushed back to the end of the year. If it drops in the morning I’ll be looking to add.
MMYT earnings tomorrow morning as well.
AAPL definitely underperforming today. I’m still thinking that a long versus a close below $121 is a good risk/reward setup, but I’m having some doubts.
