Futures are ripping on the BOJ news. Heading straight to the highs, with or without you. This is truly epic.
My perma-bull analogue of 1998 implies a vicious short covering rally that walked straight back up to the highs of the year before pausing. If that happens, there will be a reaction at the top, one that if followed correctly could be the entry point for the last and final phase of this bull market cycle.
It’s crazy to see so many asset classes and signals going off the same as they were in 1997-1998.
While this market has had some damage done to it over the year, if those wounds start to heal in the near term, then this analogue still has promise.

Tomorrow is going to be an important day in how the markets react to new highs in the NQ and possibly the ES and DOW. Even though it feels very exciting to be a bull right now I am very interested in hearing your take on the action as it unfolds. How convenient that I’m a TA subscriber. 🙂

Now we know why the market wouldn’t go down the last 2 weeks.
I’ve got a nice JDST stock position, some Dec 15 & 16 calls, and various Nov, Dec & Jan GLD puts. It’s already one of the best trades of my career. The last couple weeks has reinforced the importance of staying in the game, managing risk and sticking with the process. Thanks again OA, the lessons I’ve learned this year have been invaluable.

Gold just fell off the cliff – but still has support at 1160 – I thought we would possibly see 1180 today and level off there…geez! I wonder where the stop orders start getting tripped

This was an epic call. I had a shit ton of gold miner positions earlier this year and got out of all of them but one (which is small) on the bounce based on OA call. Wasn’t comfortable going short but still I saved some skin.
Most expensive piss of my life. Missed the googl 565 call high of $6. That was a fucking small window to get out. 🙁

OA – we should talk about retailers and the corresponding reduction in oil/gas. I think earnings will be higher based on what I have seen so it would be nice to take a look at beaten down stocks like PSUN, TLYS, etc. Thoughts?

OA, at one point you mentioned QIHU as a short if it snaps back to resistance around 76, given the huge volume hole below. Do you think a short is still relevant here?
