It’s a good feeling to own all the things that are in the fastest upward trends on the day, despite this market “weakness.” TWTR, GOOGL, VJET, XONE, FEYE, etc. It seems the appetite for risk is still in our favorite type of stock right now.
As we discussed in After Hours with Option Addict last night, market weakness is manageable so long as there is no “speed” in the market. Having survived a 50 point massacre in the Dow this morning, I am looking for my next round of opportunities to trade into next week.
Also, last nights TRADE OF THE WEEK was to buy GOOGL calls at the open. Hold these with an initial target of $595-$600. We’ll follow up on this in After Hours with Option Addict.

I was paging through some charts when i got to TWTR. It reminded me of the pre-IPO days when a bunch of idiots bought Tweeter (TWTRQ, now THEGQ) causing the stock to be halted. i had a little chuckle.
THEGQ is holding steady at $0.0002, after its brief run up to $0.15. That would be 75000% on your money. 🙂
maybe that should be my trading strategy moving forward… find ticker symbols of companies that have similar names to IPO candidates.

OA, whats your take on Bonds here, trying to figure out what this massive move in TLT is caused by. Tough to say fear with the VIX so low, and current speed of the market.
I suppose as long as it isn’t fear it would be seen as bullish. Europe/US arbitrage the US Economy is still favorable to investors. Or the US economy is so shitty the fed is going to remain accomodative for much longer than originally thought.

It surely doesn’t change anything for me. I’m in LULU at $38.80 and I like it there. If it breaks this multi bottom balance, I’ll get out.
I’ve got support at $37.88, from when it was consolidating. We are o.k. As long as the market doesn’t tank, I like this stock with all that short interest. Earnings are 9/11

It’s the trade of the week… I took today’s 2nd chance to join in.
sounds like a position size response is appropriate. looks fine as long as you protect yourself from getting “destroyed” if it get’s “broken”, which it isn’t right now. I’m hoping for a higher low on the lower timeframe after the equal low today relative to yesterday. I may play a little more conservative and go out another week, less risk/less reward strategy though…but I already have next weeks on.
