At times its hard to watch a perfectly good trade get abused by impatience. I laid out a great road map for this LULU trade, got in before the move, and never lost an ounce of confidence in the process.
Being hyper-focused on an unrealized profit/loss can trigger you to make emotional decisions. You have to realize as well that options fluctuate a lot more than stocks. Therefore, stick to a reasonable size that won’t create unrealized “destruction” to your bottom line, and avoid emotional management your positions based off your account balance fluctuations. Know that if the discipline of the set-up, analysis, and planning is going to work, your account balance will be fine.
Also, stop selling out of all these winners so damn early too. If you fail to let winners run, you’ll give back all these gains at some point anyway.
