Despite an alarmingly fast sell-off at the open, stocks have found buyers from below this afternoon. This was the key tell for our sentiment count, and so far there are a considerable number of buying tails out there today.
Let’s make certain that stocks are going to hold these gains, but this could be a big win for the bulls here.

this actually looks like a huge failure for the bulls. Futures up huge – tanked. APPL is the only thing holding this pig up. Huge small cap negative divergence=risk OFF
yeh. Nasdaq is pretty misleading today since aapl is up 8%. without it, wouldn’t be up that much. but it was nice to see the mkt bounce from this mornings sell off

DHI great earnings for homebuilders, granted just because DHI reacted favorably to earnings doesn’t mean the others will. In any case, this makes BZH, KBH more interesting right here. They’ve all taken a beating lately. What if they now lead the market higher?

FSLR and YGE are still my biggest positions. I am at breakeven in YGE, and up big in FSLR.

The Fly capitulated this morning. I admit spending too much time on this site gleaning crumbs of market wisdom to navigate through the muck and not feel like the hedge fund patsy. Days like yesterday leave one bitter and frustrated. When you are long the four horsemen charging into the fray with AAPL and FB numbers at our back to be algo’d 10 minutes in feels like the betrayal scene in Braveheart – only this is real life and real money. The fly is a little too bi-polar for me. We need some words of wisdom, Jeff.

I took Fly’s blog comments about waiting till next week to buy stocks based on fears of holding over weekend. While I think Ukraine situation is overblown with respect to real impact to the broad range of stocks, the fact remains the fear it causes impacts the market. I’m watching for relative strength, what’s holding up? that PBR looks manageable. Overall, its a rough spot…as the market rebounded and now we’re selling some of that off…nothing too crazy, but I’m remaining patient at the risk of missing a dip opportunity. I wanna see what buyers do next week.
Forgot PHOT opened up for trading today. whoosh! who’s buying? Tempting, but I have not purchased any here. Missed the opening…expected panic and there you have it.

i respect Fly and all, but i never use someone else’s road map for my risk reward analysis – thats an instant body blow to your account if you dont know your own position tolerance
