“The yen extended its drop against the dollar, weakening through 99 for the first time since May 8 2009.

It was 1.3 percent lower at 98.92 at 8:44 a.m. London time, after depreciating to 99.01. The Japanese currency dropped 1.4 percent to 128.50 per euro.”
