Researchers at Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health studied more than 700 pregnant women and found those exposed to higher concentrations of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) were more than twice as likely to have obese children by age seven compared with women with lower levels of exposure.”

Seriously? What bunk. We have poor, inner city women who likely do not have access to good nutrition or even care about good nutrition or can even afford fresh fruits and vegetables, and the link between their obesity is air pollution?
How about parental exposure to poverty being linked to obesity? How about parental exposure to crappy schools being linked to obesity? How about parental exposure to McDonald’s being linked to obesity?
The food desert hypothesis, (much to chagrin of our ab-fab 1st Lady) has been debunked by recent studies.

You’re poor, you have little cash, but you get food stamps or EBT cards. So you can get a bunch of food for free and it can be full of fats and sugars. You can sit at home and eat. Then you get fat.
