CNBC ‘freaking out’ over decline in ratings for Andrew Ross Sorkin and Maria Bartiromo
‘Their biggest attractions have become their biggest losers,’ says industry insider
Andrew Ross Sorkin is apparently not too big to tank.
The same goes for “Money Honey” Maria Bartiromo.
CNBC insiders tell us executives at the cable business channel are “freaking out” because viewership levels are down essentially across-the-board, particularly with its marquee shows, “Squawk Box” and “Closing Bell.”

I quit watching in the morning because of Cramer. His continual nonsense makes it hard to concentrate on the actual news.
maria is a throwback of the nineties bull market. old fat and retarded. get some new hot chick to spew “see you soon!” then the ratings would skyrocket.
Squawk Box is too political…made worse by Sorkin. Nice enough guy but too much politics. Seeing Howard Dean at 7 a.m. or the GOP hack du jour makes me want to hurl breakfast. Becky Quick and her grandpa wanna-be Buffett…so what…and Kudlow…someone send up a flare when he ever comes up for air and let a guest complete a sentence. Unwatchable Blowhard.
I quit watching because of Kernan (even if he is an old FNN hand) Kernan’s kid, and the stand in Caruso-Cabrera. I love politics and political arguments, but not with my morning market update. Kernan got much more aggressive after Carl left. Sorkin doesn’t punch back. Maybe they should get James Carville to throw a few punches at Kernan-Cabrerra with one hand behind his back. Now that I’d watch.
Oh yeah, it doesn’t help that the “Money Honey” dresses like my grandmother did, circa 1983. Bloomberg’s got “Three on Trish”. Lemme see “Three on Trish” vs. Grandma’s old clothes. Decisions decisions…
Personally I like when they have the blonde hosts in the morning but I usually only watch for a few minutes to check on the futures and hear a few min’s of bullcrap. Becky quick and some other blonde that sounded like she has an accent and was on a few days ago (or within the past week or so). Both smokin IMO
