VAGRANTS: THIS IS OCCUPY WALL STREET #OWS

“I have the police in here 10 times a day, [and] I’m the bouncer. I’ve been called the spawn of the devil. “It’s unbelievable what goes on in here every day, ” Tzortzatos said.

And on Friday, she said, a crazed squatter burst into the shop and demanded that workers fill a 10-gallon container of water.

When they refused, “he banged it on the ground and started yelling” and threatened the staff, she said.

“He said he was entitled to have it for free.”

Tzortzatos said the unsafe conditions begin at around 5 p.m. every day, when “they come from the park drunk, under the influence of something.

“They use one of our doorways as a bathroom, and we have to scrub it down every morning.

“I’ve had people come in here and yell, ‘Boycott! Boycott!’

“They unplugged my ATM machine and plugged in their computers,” Tzortzatos said.

And the moochers are at it in San Diego also.

Tossing blood and urine at street cart vendors if they don’t give them free food.

Yes just like everyone who supports OWS is a vagrant who bullies shop owners and is disrespectful of their businesses everyone who manages money is a fat cat crook who makes a living hoodwinking seniors and uneducated people out of their savings.

I get what you’re saying, but you can’t deny there is a trend developing that did not exist when the OWS movement first started.

Here’s Vancouver. One death, one overdose, stolen ammunition and attacking police:

Never the less the fallacy (straw man) clearly cuts both ways. There are idiots in every group, but to judge the aggregate by the bad examples you can find is simply ignorant and an easy way to justify being dismissive.

Besides I could take your exact argument with regards to the trend, extrapolate it 30 years and make a much stronger claim that criminality in finance is rising and therefore everyone who works in finance now must be a criminal.

But that would only prove your love of illogic, not that your politics hasn’t already tipped your hand. 😉

Why not instead compare them to the Tea Party which is much larger, has had far more demonstrations, and has had ZERO incidents such as these?

Yes because there aren’t well documented cases of the tea party (as the national movement that elected numerous republican up and comers) being drummed up by various fox news personalities.

You do know my point of view on the politics Jake. However I maintain that regardless of that point of view the assertion that the argument against the OWS movement based on the actions of a few is a straw man. I think it would be a shame if we allowed the stereotyping of this movement to ruin an opportunity to get money out of politics.

I do hope you got a chance to read my earlier response to you and that you thoroughly enjoyed your vacation. I did certainly miss the educated right wing flavour to iBC while you were gone.

So you ignored Jake’s point. Tea Party didn’t have this kind of crazy scum crap going on. And they were MUCH MUCH larger.

“Yes because there aren’t well documented cases of the tea party (as the national movement that elected numerous republican up and comers) being drummed up by various fox news personalities.”

Drummed up by Fox News? What does that even mean? Jake is pointing out the sick behavior by the vagrants on wall street and contrasting them to Tea Party rallies. Are you saying that Tea Partiers also “misbehaved” because of the way they got Fox News to speak well about them? Uhh… Even if you think Fox News is a satanic figure, I don’t think that compares with urinating on the elderly.

Apologies for not being more specific. I was in fact referring to the neo-nazi and other racist organizations (such as the KKK) tried to latch onto the tea party movement.

You can’t judge the tea party by these people, likewise you can’t judge the OWS movement by the vagrants. Additionally comparing the tea party to the OWS movement is a joke as the tea party was never as popular, large, or committed and quickly got hijacked by the republican party. So much so in fact that numerous early supporters of the tea party have now distanced themselves from the “movement.”

The overwhelming majority of the people who opt to be homeless and protest are vagrants. That does not mean your message is flawed. It simply means they are.

Were the roles reversed and you were trying to affect change, what method would you choose? (I am not being sarcastic, genuinely interested)

Yes, a trend developing in the paid-for corporate news propaganda — which is meaningless. Their coverage of nearly all political propaganda is meaningless, as is OWS.

Wrong. Tea Party was much larger than OWS. OWS played up by the media. Tea Party played down. Big difference and it explains your confusion. Furthermore, Republican party did not “hijack” tea party by any means, they were scared by it because it challenged/threatened the republican establishment and still does.

Was being the operative word. Didn’t realize tea partiers were camped out in over 50 cities and had support rallies in Europe and the middle east. Do enlighten me.

“Was being the operative word?” On what planet?

You implied that Tea Party was a small thing. It wasn’t. Certainly not when it’s being compared to OWS. And the tea party had rallies, they didn’t “camp out.” Camping out as a protest is for losers. And nutjobs of course.

Now that OWS is under attack, it would appear that Soros and his central banker ilk have possibly lost control of their own creation.

The longer this continues, the more support they lose. It’s a good thing, but I sympathize for people like that restaurant owner and her employees.

If you want to get a message across, follow the path of dignified men like ML King. Protest in large organized groups. Don’t camp out like fucking homeless idiots. It cheapens the movement.

Fly, why are you so angry about people different than you? Those dirty hippies are majestic. We need to create a natural reserve for them to live together in their own environment.

    OWS… out of work sh*theads.
Tea Party – working Americans who want to see a real CHANGE.

OWS — bums living at home with their parents who are enabling their adult (in body) children to be parasites on society.
