Disgusting.
And the NYSE leases space to their servers so they make $$ at the expense of everybody but the HFTs. One day the system will freeze up and their will be a giant flash crash as the computers pull their orders.
according to this trader in london, who by the way was on the bbc this morning an has gone viral from kaisers’ site,to you tube,to zh, says goldman sachs is in control, period. not governments or anyone……..it’s crazy
Every article about HFT criticizes it for being a main contributor to the flash crash. I will not argue with that. However all we ever hear about is how program trading magnifies sell offs. Do these programs never buy stocks? Why does no one complain about HFT when the market goes up and up for no good reason?
