$430 billion, huh? Until yields blow out, at least…then I wonder how much that $14 trillion will cost us?

I’ve seen more pieces reassuring people that things “won’t be that serious”. Sounds like propaganda to me to prevent a panic because they are not going to get something done by August 2nd. Unconfirmed rumor that a deal is done by ABC yesterday, now rumors that we are “close”, is all a part of the same agenda. Wasting time leaking reports that they are “close”.
Also reports that a downgrade “won’t be that serious”.
…That is, until we lose the reserve currency status as a result.
Even if they are close, they’d have to break their own campaign promise to read bills carefully over a time delay. There’s going to be an uproar about that if they try.
