We belong to a community supported agriculture co-op and get fresh veggies and fruits, garden variety, delivered weekly.
The flavor difference between them and store-bought is incredible. Most Americans today do not realize how different garden variety veggies differ from genetically engineered ones grown to withstand shipping and sitting on shelves in a store. The difference is night and day. I’m not saying that GE is altogether evil. But I am saying that the flavor is night and day.
If the worst comes to pass, those in possession of heirloom seeds will be kings. If not, they will still have some great tasting produce! Win win 😉
