In other words “take aim at bullshit socialist programs that are sucking the life out of local economies by crowding out the private sector and market flows.”

You need to make your choice, Cronkite — do you want fascism or do you want free markets?

    From the piece:

“The House Appropriations Committee Report suggests that efforts to promote local and regional food systems are unnecessary and wasteful in a number of ways. In reality, local food systems have the potential to dramatically increase farmers share of the food dollar, and stimulate economic development and job creation by encouraging local reinvestment rather than corporate profit.”

If that’s “reality” then they should be doing it without federal government interference. And that goes for the “commodity subsidy” part of this bill as well, btw.
