For those of you not aware, this flying boat, which looks much like a cheap seabird of the 1930’s, save that the Iranians could not afford closed cockpits, was the “latest and greatest” technology from the IRGC, unveiled in early 2010.
Naturally, I was very terrified, until I sobered up and remembered it’s the 21st century.
How close is China to Iran? Could China be anticipating the US leaving the middle east? If China were to back Iran in the middle east, what would that mean?
China has already said publicly they would back Iran in the Middle East if the U.S. were to take military action against them. But what China says they’ll do and what China will do aren’t necessarily going to be the same thing.
Seems to me, China doesn’t give a fuck about anything other then oil. Rather then direct conflict, I’m sure both the US and China will fight behind the scenes; cold war style.
Probably. I don’t know about the oil statement; they care about other stuff, especially if economies around the world start to go into a recession and oil gets cheap.
I could see us brokering an agreement with allies in the West; I know the Chinese have been longing for Hong Kong sovereignty back (although hopefully we wouldn’t be dumb enough to trade our word and honor for the chance to freely attack Iran).
I could also see us just telling the Chinese to fuck off and seeing if they call our bluff.
cute
Quakin’ in my Uggs.
I shpiit on your flying boots.
they could drop bricks and other heavy stuff from those.
Or linen bags of pistachios and some nice melons.
Make food not war!

Is this what they’ve learned from our drone?

Kind of makes you wonder if the officers in the US Navy all brought their pump action Mossbergs for skeet shooting?
__________
Positives:
(1) Iranians don’t pull higher quite as fast as ducks, making them easier to shoot
(2) Iranians are more like to hold a formation than ducks.
(3) I feel more sorry for ducks
Negatives:
(1) hunting dogs are cheaper than aircraft carriers
(2) mounting an IRGC soldier is more costly than 2 or even 3 mallards
(3) I don’t have to listen to some obscure asshole/general shit talking to whole time I’m gunning down a flock of fowl
Hell, a potato gun would suffice!
My God, it’s just like the flying monkeys in The Wizard of Oz!
Jet skis with unenclosed go-cart engines.
Wow.
If only Suzuki would release them to the consumer.
You and drummerboy could hop-skip them in a race.
Oh, oh, we could use them to transport goods from the Mississippi into Lake Michigan after we seal it off. No more Asian carp problems.

These are all questions I have been pondering.

Ever heard of a freakin’ map?
(laughter)
Haha, they are going to close the strait with lawnmower engine puddle-jumpers!
Heat signatures are probably too low for our missiles to lock onto. Brilliant.
