The rally could begin now with progress over the weekend and hopes of new stimulus measures in Japan. Speaker Boner caved and made the offer of raising tax rates on those making $1 million or more; the White House said it didn’t go far enough but described the offer as “progress.”

Shinzo Abe is to become prime minister in Japan given the Liberal Democrat’s victory in parliamentary elections. Abe has promised monetary and fiscal stimulus to rescue the world’s third largest economy from recession.

Over the weekend, we had to take him back in due to some respiratory issues and he has now been moved to the Pediatric ICU. This obviously affects my ability to post so I beg you all to bear with me.
