MLB Parks

I have attended MLB games at 6 of the current ballparks. I intend on visiting all 30 parks in my lifetime, and would like to have it done before the S&P hits 150, because I don’t think S&P 150 could support 30 MLB teams.

I have been to the home of the:

Boston Red Sox (Fenway Park)
Chicago Cubs (Wrigley Field)
Chicago White Sox (US Cellular Field)
Texas Rangers (The Ballpark at Arlington) GO RANGERS!!!
San Fran Giants (AT&T Park)
Oakland A’s (McAfee Coliseum)

This summer I can fly up to KC to see the Rangers play the Royals, then fly to St Louis to watch the Dodgers Cards game, and fly back to Dallas on Southwest Airlines all for about $150 in total airfare. And I can drive down to Houston to see an Astros game. So my goal is to have visited 9 total parks by the end of summer. I wonder how many parks I could knockout in the northeast in one week?

Frequent flyer miles? WTF? No wonder the airlines are going broke.

Hey, Fly, contact me, you can stay at our house in KC when you come to see the Royals. We can show you around and talk pizza and dorito formations. We even have goats in our back yard, and they climb trees! It would be fun. Please call and bring Mrs. Fly and the kids (I have 2 boys 9 and 10).

Yea scum, check it out, its fucking $39 to fly from KC to SL on July 27.

Fly, you gotta check out Camden - it’s a solid 3rd best behind Wrigley & Fenway

    Sweet ’shroomz,

I hope you and the stewardess are the only ones riding in the back. I have a whole new respect for that profession after traveling last week. I don’t know how they do it, and I like LUV too.

Yeah, pouring Coke into a plastic cup while moving is tough or how about passing a bag of pretzels over a sleeping person. You can only be taught that in school.

    Cool Post,
I’ve been to home games at the A’s, Giants(old and new parks),Dodgers,Angles,Braves,Reds (old Stadium)Diamondbacks,Orioles,D-Rays,Mariners and I just got back from a Rangers game this week when I was out in Dallas. Just one of the perks of travelling around the country(and the world) on Uncle Sam’s dime for the last 19 years..

    Have fun bro..

Cooped up in a pressurized airtight tube with no fresh air while breathing a trillion germs, cramped, bullshit. I wouldn’t do that job for 10X what they’re making.

    Nice post and good luck.
I have been to a bunch in my life (from the old Indians Muni Stadium to Wrigley to Camden, etc.).
But I always found some of the Minor League parks to be the most fun.
You haven’t lived until you see someone like the Quincy Gems play the Springfield Rifles and the admission is whatever you feel like paying (it was pass the hat).

    Sounds like a blast.

Good post. This is also a personal goal of mine. I will use the games as an excuse to see the country.
