Going to Turkey

Fez man
Indeud!
________________

I’ve got on meeting with yet another fast moving tech company in the morning (innovation yet lives, even in these dire times) and then I’m off to Noo Yawk for Turkish Festivities.

I’m bringing my fez and all my kids.   I may not however, bring all of them back.   It just depends on the float action in the Macy’s T-Day Parade.   If they are slow moving enough… well…

Besides the Parade, which is a family tradition for my Mom from long before I was born, we will do touron things for which I used to laugh at people  back when I was a young Puck.   Odd how these things come ’round, no?

We will visit Teddy Roosevelt’s Sagamore Hill House in Oyster Bay.   We will go see Cirque de Soleil’s Wintuk, just because it’s “for the kids.”   It will be “most ghey.”

We will have Turkish Dinner (or “Pilgrim’s Repast” as they like to call it in Milford, MA)  and many many bottles of premium California cabernets at my Uncle & Aunt’s house in the Aye Bee.  It’s usually quite epic.

Likely, I will only have time to communicate with you through evening post and the occasional Crackberry aside.  I think you’ll make it through.    Looks like tomorrow should be relatively pleasant, and I hope everyone remains in good cheer.

Keep your grandmamaw’s close, now.   Hear?

Happy Veteran’s Day

ffay
To-day, the road all runners come,
Shoulder-high we bring you home,
And set you at your threshold down,
Townsman of a stiller town.

61 Years New: Make Mine Freedom

_______________________________

Given that this ‘toon was produced in 1948, right about the time our allies in Europe were succumbing to full-blown post-war collapse Fabian socialism, this piece is eerily relevant today.

And I’d add — never more so than on a weekend where such dark portents as the passage of PelosiCare have brought us all to a historical precipice.

To what fate will we consign our children?   It’s up to you, America.   Time to step up.

Diving for Real Dollars
_________________________

Yes, yes, you’re making Scrooge McDuck sized gains these last few days and you’re beginning to get all slack-jawed and drooly thinking about swan diving into your treasure pile of gold doubloons and ruby-encrusted silver chalices.

If you’ve been following along gamely, I’ll allow you that brief indulgence.   Swim away, just be aware that those Kruggerands have sharp, ridged edges and they can nick your hammies in mid-backstroke.

Let’s not forget, however, that this blog is first about preservation of capital.   We invest in hard money assets and companies because we believe the Fed is bent– like an emaciated goatherd preparing to skin and stew his last kid —  on destroying the currency.

One way that’s skinning is going to show up is in the eventual destruction of [[TLT]] .    For that reason, [[TBT]] is a Jacksonian Portfolio pick, and the only Double ETF I allow within those hallowed halls (though I love [[AGQ]] like Mrs. Jake loves an after-Christmas sale).

To my delight, it looks like [[TBT]] is “ready to rumble” right along with the rest of his Jacksonian colleagues:

[NOTE: My StockCharts machine is not working properly for me, but the narrative is TBT has gone:
1) Back through the 38.2% fibonacci
2) Through the major congestion finger by price & volume charting; and most important
3) Through and retested the recent downtrend line]

I will get that chart up as soon as I can wrangle it. Salud.

BEHOLD!

buddah

$1,100 gold is right around the corner and we zoomed over $17 again on the silver to rest currently at $17.22.

As a result, the miners of anything shiny from platinum to tin foil have gone Batman on us and are leaping in grey tights and high-cropped riding boots from roof to roof.

Royal Gold, Inc. [[RGLD]] must absolutley be on your “Grandmother list” and I mean not for your grandmother, but for your grandmotherhood.

You don’t think Social Security is going to keep you in tea cakes and airplane bottle of Chivas, do you?

Also, for your dining pleasure, Fly has engineered a special gold list for The PPT and left it only for those whom I favor. It’s like stumbling into Aladdin’s Treasure Cave without use of magic verse or carpet.

You are that lucky.

You can see everything I mentioned last night launched out of the park today. That’s because Gold — and [[GLD]] has broken out to new highs again, and is on it’s way to $1,250 and then higher still. In addition to RGLD and the Jackson’s you want to get hold of these top Ten Fly Listers also:

Name              Hybrid % Chg              PPT Score/5.0

1 AUY                 43.21  %                                4.11

2 NXG                    27.36                               4.05

3 EGO                     33.55                                4.02

4 GG                        21.08                               4.02

5 AZK                     32.99                               3.87

6 GOLD                  42.64                               3.78

7 RGLD                 63.64                               3.78

8 ABX                    20.20                               3.63

9 GFI                    50.43                                 3.52

10 NEM                12.75                                 3.45

Go!

Be benificent to one another in this day of gloury (sic).

Burn this Post

Inferno

Happy Halloween Surprise Mothah-Cluckas!
_____________________________________

Okay, just burn it if we don’t bounce here. Here’s the amazing thing about this Halloween Surprise we’re experienceing right now… someone almost predicted it.

And I say “almost” only because he said we’d retest the lows today and then rally all next week, and obviously, only Fly and his Time Machine can check that part out yet.

Here’s the thing. He said this when we were hitting Wednesday’s lows, and he predicted yesterdays’ massive rally and today’s retest!  If he hits on all cylinders  with this prediction, we may have to give him his own blog.

But let me tell you Fly aint gonna like it.

“Developing….”

______________________________

Let me tell you what I’m doing right here and now… I’m “wading in.’   I sold some more of my options yesterday under the “too good to be true” axiom, thinking we’d at least have a little pullback from yesterday’s move.

Well I guess we did have something didn’t we?     Well, we more than tested Wednesday’s lows (again, as mystery guest predicted) and even filled that October 6th gap.   We are now on the march back, however tentative, and I’m adding to my PM’s here, and other Jacksons.

I already bot 200 more [[AGQ]] this morning, too early again, at over $55.   Dumbass, right?  Well, I’m not too worried about AGQ long term, truthfully.

I am also eyeing my “strength” Jacksons, including suddenly cheap silvers Silver Wheaton Corp. (USA) [[SLW]] , [[EXK]] , [[CDE]] and on the gold side Allied Nevada Gold Corp. [[ANV]] , IAMGOLD Corporation (USA) [[IAG]] and Eldorado Gold Corporation (USA) [[EGO]] .

Let the price of gold be your biscuit here… it’s not even coming close to the lows of Wednesday, which tells me this is one more false “whip” of our secular bull.   Don’t get bucked.   Those of you who were lucky enough to sell some yesterday (and even the day before) deploy cautiously, but wisely.

And with great vigor.   As your cautionary flag watch for $22.70 on [[UUP]] — that seems to be holding off the Huns for now.

Best to you.
