Closed out June with a perfect game. Not bad for vacation trading, even though my trading was light. I’m still holding my GMCR which is my biggest gainer so far. Dumping the CBOU long at break-even was satisfying, since it was starting to feel like a knife.
Best trades was shorting SOL, right at the top. I nailed the reversal on solar on my “Dear Solars” break-up love letter post. Lol.
It looks like I’ll be heading into July with more of the short commodities play. I’m still holding those schizo solar shorts (CSIQ, YGE), and I still have an aggressive target. I also haven’t covered DRYS yet for the energy pullback play, but it did hit my <6 target so I’ll gladly take profits soon. Plus I’m still attacking ugly energy (coal) via PCX. My only hedge against these commodity shorts is longs in FRG.
Some losers I’m holding in my portfolio include ANCI, which irks a little because I had it at a great gain, but decided not to sell on the Russell 3000 news and I’m back to b/e territory. Other stocks in the red include LOPE short, and FRG long but I figured they’d be red anyway.
Ever since I got back from Cali, I’ve been going a little nuts. I’m so busy, I just want to grab a bat and start smashing computers.
