Plan to trade and trade the plan. If your do not understand what events can move the market each day, then you have no right to be trading. Too often the market makes a big move on certain data or announcement being made.

Each day you MUST track what events are going to move the markets. As an example Deckers (DECK) will report earnings after the close. If you owned it, then you have a decision to make about whether to stick it through the earnings release or punt.
