First I’d like to tell my younger punk readers that you should stay in school. As crazy as that sounds, and I realize it goes against the modern way of thinking, educating oneself, even though you might take on debt in the process, is an important part of maturing as an adult. If you’re thinking about dropping out of college or God forbid high school — don’t. If you do not end up like Bill Gates, you will most certainly etch a fast track to a lifetime of wanton poverty and depression, by way of wage cage job at an Amazon slave factory. Remember, you’re not only paying tuition, but growing as a person and going thru the crucible of life. Sure it sucks that you weren’t born better, had the privilege of a high IQ and entry into an Ivy League school. But there are many ways to carve out a path towards success — so be the man you want to be — but do that AFTER school you fucking idiots.
Futures are somewhat soft this morning, as President Trump edges closer to the guillotine. One could only hope for chaos, but I am afraid we’ll get more of the same here. We are within a fortnight of National Festival Day and I have extreme confidence in a short squeeze into gravy day. Never bet against American stocks into cranned berry filled dishes festooned with stuffing. There is a reckoning coming for shorts and you can feel the fiery breeze coming. Incineration is all but a foregone conclusion.

I think we have come full circle, Re: Bill Gates and college.
BIll Gates was able to skip college becuase his parents were rich enough to send him to a high school that taught programming in 1968. I doubt any public high schools wre doing the same thing back then. His HS tuition probabaly cost the same as a public state University did.
Fast forward to today: most (all?) HS teach some progaramming and so do many elementary schools. The Internet also has many slef-learning tools. At the same time, college costs have outpaced everytihng else, even healthcare. So now it makes sense for lower class students to learn programming and skip college. In fact, over the next 10-20 years I think we’ll see an decrease in the emphasis on college degrees and an increase in the importannce of skills and certificates earned outside a 4-yr school.
