Jobs Report Better Than Expected; Recession Hawks BTFO

The last vestiges of hope and promise that everything will soon be destroyed have been crashed against the rocks this morning. The March payrolls data, the jobs report, came in better than expected.

March Nonfarm Payrolls 196K vs 170K
March Unemployment Rate 3.8% vs 3.8%
March Average Hourly Earnings +0.1% m/m vs +0.2%

As a result, futures doubled their gains and everyone is merrily pleased with their portfolios. Any questions? Are you still too stupid to understand what happened in October-December was yet another rouse in a long rich history of rouses — an attempt to fleece Joe Public from his shares?

      If you went away in May 2015 you would have lost money
      If you went away in May 2016 you would have lost money
      If you went away in May 2017 you would have lost money
      If you went away in May 2018 you would have lost money

        I’ve never ended these years in the red, These years, 2015-2018 were an anomalous post-gains cycle that I’m not used to trading in; a reaction to home nation and global politics. 2009-2013 I doubled my money. By 2014 the market, for me, anyway, I burned out and started spending my gains. Getting my Mojo back, I hope. As a cycle, I believe we are due for another down year in the S&P so I’m being very careful. I pick and choose carefully. I don’t do the shorting shit.

    By the way, you guys should be watching “Tin Star” on Amazon Prime. It’s like “Twin Peaks” without the “Fantasia” aspect. First season dark, second season even better.

      eh, tin star is good, but kind of a ripoff of banshee, which i re watched first season recently and was even better second time around.
