Portfolio: 12/31/12

I mentioned in a post the other day about how I would be using this blog to run a model $1 million portfolio (which does mirror what I am doing with my actual portfolio…obviously the fills won’t be exact, but they are close enough for the sake of this exercise).  Initially, I had planned on waiting until the new year to get started, but last week I saw a few things that garnered some interest, so I went ahead and started a little early.

These are liquid stocks that I am trading, so this strategy is scalable to pretty much any (reasonable) account size.

I will update my blog on a daily basis presenting transaction data (should there be any) and also the following summary information:

I will tweet transactions as close to “real-time” as possible, so click my handle in the upper right corner of this page and follow me if you are so inclined.

I’m glad these holiday weeks are over.  Let’s get back to work.

My best to you all.

  1. Very cool, VERY much enjoy seeing transparencies such as this. Would like to see things like this very much so from other IBC’ers

    • No problem.

Re: transparency. I think it’s more about the message than the nuts and bolts, you know what I mean?

I enjoy the challenge of the stock market, so why the hell not share my travails with the world?

At least I have been doing this long enough to know that I’m likely not going to make a complete ass out of myself…probably not at least.

      Thanks for reading.
