Interestingly, or ironically, as I mentioned on my video market recap for Thursday, the main “Detroit” car companies Ford and General Motors both beat earnings and appear to be thriving. That said, their stocks are acting tired for now, after steep uptrends. They could easily be quick shorts on weakness.
Nonetheless, they have certainly defied the death of Detroit, as seen below.
