I talked about some of my winners before. So let’s talk about a loser now.
On days like today, with some of the major averages on historic winning streaks, I am even less fond of under-performers in my portfolio.
Dean Foods was a stock I mentioned as potentially working well on many levels to the upside–The stock staged an apparent breakout from consolidation. But since then, the stock more or less gave back those gains.
When combined with the above points about laggards and the market winning streak. I sold out of DF at $10.38 from a $10.53 entry for a loss inside 12631 just now. Keeping losses small is always a priority for me. Although the chart is not broken, it did not suit my thesis for an imminent, explosive breakout from the pennant highlighted below. So I am gone.
