Either way, you’re being a contrarian. Actually, given the AAII sentiment reading last week being bearish might not even be that much of a contrarian play right now. However, after the disastrous Carnival Cruises in recent months, no sane person wants to spend money on a cruise. Who needs the aggravation? Ah, but contrarians might see value, as sentiment will change and cooler heads will prevail. The odds of something bad happening at sea are quite low, indeed. So, why not pounce when prices are low?
