Before the dog days of winter conclude, an action/adventure/wintry “mountain man” film worth checking out is Jeremiah Johnson (1972), starring Robert Redford as pretty much a one-man gang.
A mountain man who wishes to live the life of a hermit becomes the unwilling object of a long vendetta by Indians when he proves to be the match of their warriors in one-to-one combat on the early frontier.
I know Griz’s sad to say I’ve seen this at least 7 times.Great Movie one of my Fav’s.
Nice pick Chess, loved the name Hatchet Jack. In my opinion this movie and Where the Red Fern Grows are all must watch movies for young men.
One of my all time favs Chess. An old friend of mine was actually a extra in this movie…..he was seen for about 2 seconds.
