Don’t Go Over These Lines

Although not related in terms of sector, both Goldman Sachs and energy stocks are sporting similar weekly charts. You can see below the massive symmetrical triangles (higher lows, but lower highs) since the late-2007 top and subsequent major bear market. These are major, not minor, areas where the bulls should step up and provide a strong underlying bid. True, they can shake out below the trend lines and then sprint higher. However, I do not think these weekly charts are being so widely-watched right now as to spawn such trickery.
