Super Bowl XLVI is in Indianapolis, Indiana, one week from this Sunday on February 5, 2012. Because the game features two national teams with strong brands, whose fans travel exceptionally well in the New England Patriots and New York Giants, it is worth looking at potential stock plays off of this event. Now, it is tough to trade based on “news” events, since it is difficult to discern at what point the event has already been price in by the market.

That said, let’s take a look at what we have here. I have been to Indianapolis several times in my life. It is a nice, little city in the midwest. However, you can bet that plenty of football enthusiasts who arrive a few days before the big game will find themselves a bit bored. Frequenting a gentleman’s club is not outside the realm of possibilities. Coincidentally, Rick’s Cabaret is a publicly traded firm and operator of twenty-one strip clubs across the county.

To be precise, Rick’s has a location in Indy and, in fact, that branch will be aggressively trying to pull in business during Super Bowl week–Actually, a full week beforehand. Check out this recent news flash:

INDIANAPOLIS – (January 20, 2012) – (Rick’s) plans seven days of non-stop party action during “Super Week” January 30th through February 5th, with dozens of topless dancers imported from in Miami and other clubs in, and, Former Penthouse Pet of the Year Taya Parker will host some of the parties, which culminate on “Super Sunday” with multiple huge screens showing the game as the Rick’s Girls entertain on stage and mingle with party goers. The club is located at 3551 Lafayette Road just off I-65.

“The parties at Rick’s Cabaret/Indianapolis will be among the best we’ve ever thrown, and we’ve had some fabulous bashes during super weeks in the past few years,” according to Ed Anakar, director of operations for the publicly traded company (NASDAQ:RICK) that is home to the nation’s leading group of upscale gentlemen’s clubs. “Football fans who partied last year at our six clubs in Dallas-Ft. Worth and at in Miami the year before know just what I’m talking about.”

The Rick’s Cabaret/Indianapolis parties get underway on Monday January 30th at 11 am and continue until the wee hours throughout the week.

“There will be well over a hundred of the most beautiful girls in the world at the club, and they are all coming to Indianapolis to party,” said Anakar.

Moreover, as you can see below, Rick’s has seen some very strong buy volume of late to support the improved price action. So, has the potentially good news of printing money from drunk guys in the Indy branch of Rick’s already been priced in by the market? No one knows for sure. What I do know is that some strong hands have been buying this stock over the past few weeks and even months. If the stock can hold above $9.40-$9.50, I think it has a good chance to crack $10 and move even higher.
