John — I’ve followed this site for about 6 months and followed the PPT for about 3 months. Despite having an advanced degree in business (albeit circa 1827 and written on a stone tablet); the level of analysis and understanding that is shown by you and other bloggers at IBC is nearly unfathonable by a neanderthal like me. I particularly make reference to Le Fly who I am pissed at for his unwarranted and gratuitous recent attack on us BOOMERS —BTW Fly — we made you ya monkey butt.
To my point. While I manage my own 7 figure account ( a result of severe dissatisfaction with pro $ mgrs), I simply can not afford more than a couple of hours a day to devote to the task on a good day. So, having been privy to the level of expertise and analysis at iBC, I’m feeling more than a little inadequate. What does the site and advice from the wizards that blog and contribute (special props to PoPimp here) have to offer a dipshit like me.
Convince me that I’m not here just because I’m in between re-runs of the 3 Stooges.
I’ll savour another Camus XO awaiting an erudite reply.

I have to say, besides reminiscences of a stock operator, you’re the next best thing. I’ve learned so much from you, but I’m still not successful yet because I lack discipline and experience. I definitely feel like i’m progressing toward success though. Your tweets proves how real and amazing you are, and your stocktwits show proves how wise and intelligent you are. My favorite recent post was made on a choppy day when I had done what I do too often: make some money in the early AM, then lose much of it by trading a bunch of different stocks in the chop that followed the rest of the day. Anyway, you had traded some stock (AIG or SOMX, I think) several times and made out very well. You concluded your post with: “This was the only stock that I traded today.” “Sonofabitch”, I sez to myself.
Patience, focus, and waiting for the fat pitch. If we all had your discipline we would be richer …our brokers poorer.

I see you trading here almost everyday Purdy. Props cause I think you post your trades here more than anyone else, so I respect you for that. It’s always about finding the right stock at the right moment. There will be days where I wait for hours until I find something really good. Other days, I just breakeven on a ton of trades, but still wait.
Seems like these fat pitches come AT LEAST once a week, so you never know…
