This Market Needs One More Wafer Thin Mint!

For those of you old enough to remember Monty Pythons “The Meaning of Life” the fat man (AKA Bulls) is stuffed to the gills.  The waiter brings one more wafer thin mint and the fat man Explodes.  This weekend all the talk was of a blow off top coming in US equities.  Pro Traders were talking about the potential to really explode from here.  Of course today’s action suggests we retest the lower band this week.  We could fail and continue lower, however, I think we bounce and run to 2140.  Why? Because this market is designed to kill both bears and bulls.  I think bears try one more time this week and get the Heisman.  Then the bulls take one last glorious wafer thin mint run at an ATH before they explode in a spectacular fashion.

Seriously, the market is at a critical juncture here.  I will be Zen about this and observe.  Will the US stock market demand Fed action and correct to test their resolve or do we follow the other indices into an ending parabola? Either way the Wafer Thin Mint scenario is not that far off in my opinion.  I have some exposure but I will act more decisively when the evidence presents itself.

A technical guru I respect suggested that the first week of May has a potential set up like the one we had on 9/19/14.  Who knows but we have warnings from Druckenmiller and El-Erian.  Two gentleman that may know a thing or two.

    Blue,

From my view point – most charts still look bullish. One chart that could turn bearish is the DJ-20 with a break of 8600. IYR is also looking heavy ..

    Great skit.lol

Besides that I’ve been readiing a ton about swiss franks bonds sold at a negative interest rates. At first blush it
    seems terible’ because bonds should
be an income play but if you looks at
it as a FX play then it’s a reasonable
bet. They buy the Franks With Euros
and in ten years the bet is the franks
will be worth way more than todays
Euros and there in lies the bet. Ta da

What do they? Something like, what can’t be sustained; won’t.
BlueStar will most certainly be right; the only question is when.

Not taking away from the financial matters, but that comedy bit made me laugh heartily on an otherwise dreary day.

The bit was fine back in the day, but I wonder about now?

It is obviously absurd, a slapstick farce of physical comedy. But would that bit fly today, or would people be offended?

I believe in Free Speech. However, Anybody offended by that should get really offended by the fact that Obama mocks Christians while they get slaughtered by ISIS which his CIA is funding.

Blue, uh .. how is Obama mocking Christians? By referring to the fact that ISIS could only dream about achieving the kind of success the early Christian crusaders & inquisitionists had as they killed 20 million plus not to mention their destruction of over 1 million scientific scrolls in the early 4th century destruction of the library in Alexandria? And how exactly has the CIA funded ISIS? The CIA has fingers in many rotten pies but here you may be reaching for one too many conspiracy theories.

    juice,

Do some work. I am not going to waste my time on this. I have done the work. Conspiracy theory. LOL. Often the official government stories are the conspiracy theory. ISIS magically sprung up from the desert in the middle of June last year with shiny brand new toyotas. Its actually quite laughable. Are you one of those idiots who believes Building 7 magically fell due to fires? Do you believe in the magic bullet? If you believe in either of those things then your critical thinking skills are sub par. You do realize where the term conspiracy theory came from don’t you? It was a CIA creation to discredit anyone who questions the official story. Obama’s moral relativism is disgusting. We live in the present not the 14th century. Wake up dude. i am feeling rather prickly today.

Prickly-Blue, ISIS most certainly did not ‘just spring up from the desert in the middle of June last year with shiny brand new toyotas’ without us getting rid of the man who had the whole place under his thumb of control, namely Saddam Hussein. He was gotten rid of in 2003 and ever since the whole place was up for grabs, and even more so after we pulled out in 2011, therefore the whole thing had been developing for over 10 years. Naturally the CIA had a hand in falsifying evidence to get us to attack Iraq in the first place, if that’s what you mean but that is not what you mean.

As far as Building 7 is concerned, I wouldn’t know, I haven’t looked into the conspiracy theories.

Regarding the magic bullet.. uh no, imo, it was an organized hit and Oswald was a pawn.

The term conspiracy theory most certainly did not simply arrive with the advent of the CIA, it has been around since time immemorial.

Getting back to my original point, ISIS could only dream of being as successful as the early Christian extreme fundamentalists, aka the crusaders and inquisitionists. Need I remind you of their quartering of humans alive, their slicing in strips, boiling alive in oil, burning at the stake, removing their organs while still alive, etc etc ….. ISIS has nothing on those sadistic murderers who murdered and tortured all those who simply believed or thought differently, just as these IS murderers and criminals are currently doing.

and Obama was most certainly not ‘mocking’ Christians. You must be studying the art of altering key words to falsify reality to suit your bias, as is currently prevalent on most media outlets of this planet.

Obama was simply citing a most unpleasant and ‘rather-be-forgotten’ fact of Christian history which happens to be currently repeating itself with another religion founders words being falsified and hijacked by power-greedy psychopaths as exactly happened in the earlier days of Christianity.

    juice,

Find me a story on ISIS pre 2013. A simple rebranding of Al Qaeda in Syria is all it is. ISIS was trained and armed by our military/cia to take out Assad. They were trained in Jordan. Either they went rogue or they went rouge with our blessing. McCain has been photographed with ISIS in 2013. Also read this which I wrote last year. http://ibankcoin.com/bluestar/2014/09/03/isis-some-burning-questions/

Again listen to what I am saying. Christians today are not killing people in an organized fashion. For Obama to compare the crusades to ISIS is moral relativism. Whats his point? Its ok because the Christians did it hundreds of years ago? People in both religions have committed atrocities since they are both flawed human institutions. The difference is Jesus never said in his teachings kill the infidel while Mohamed did. One religion sanctions killing the other does not. In the books. Facts are facts. The internet is rife with videos of this guy mocking Christians.

The term was around but it was weaponized by the CIA to discredit anyone who dares suggest other possibilities. So when you use the term you are trying to impugn the speaker rather than his or her ideas. Have you not seen the CIA memo?

Blue – Just as Jesus’s words and teaching was obviously falsified beyond recognition – how else could his followers kill millions upon millions in the name of brotherly love? – Mohammed’s words were also falsified. He tasked his cousin to write down his teaching and prophecy and his cousin altered it at his own discretion which through time strayed even further from his actual teaching. Look at this Bagdadhi guy and how he reinterprets everything to suit his power-greedy psychopathic demented vision of a 100% planet earth distorted Islamacist theocracy. Mohammed arrived on the scene to combat the madness of Christianity at that time, which had designs to take over the entire world (just like ISIS) and kill all those who believed differently(iow, infidels) , just like ISIS. Jesus never said that and Mohammed never said that. The falsification with Jesus began with his name. http://www.mechon-mamre.org/p/pt/pt1007.htm “14 Therefore the Lord Himself shall give you a sign: behold, the young woman shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.” How is it that someone in a Jewish section of Palestine and touted as a Jew was given a Greek name? As Spock would say – “Illogical” .

In those days, very few could read or write, it was easy to alter documents to enslave the human consciousness in belief, as exactly is happening yet again with ISIS & their radicalized followers.

And as the radicalized followers of ISIS will only be stopped with brute force, the same was true of the Christian Crusaders, which Mohammed had to face to keep his peoples from slaughter.

History is indeed repeating itself or at least rhyming.
