This poll on Yahoo demonstrates the ignorance that is pervasive in 50% of the American people. Exactly what the hell is taught in school? I remember getting a large dose of civics and government when I was in high school.

50% of the ignoramuses not only did not know who Paul Ryan was but actually admitted it.

People are completely disengaged from the process. As long as the government keeps the entitlements and goodies flowing nobody give a crap. Freedom. Socialism. Liberty. Marxism. Fuck it. As long as they have a beer, cable and an iPhone they’re good to go.

And by the by, Paul Ryan is a rising star in the GOP. He’s thoughtful and understands the problems we are facing. He’s one of the only people in Congress offering solutions. They may not be the best but at least he’s flinging shit to see what sticks.

Conversely, the Democrat-led Senate hasn’t passed a budget in over 1,000 days. You might ask yourself what the hell are they doing.
